Best known for its soft-serve ice creams and desserts, Soft Swirl is a popular brand you can find at various points in Islamabad. I had many visits to Soft Swirl and a few of my favorites are most of its ice creams. However, this time I wanted to try something different along with the traditional ice creams.
Located at the capital trade center, F-10 Markaz, this was the branch I was visiting. But this is not the only branch, you can find many more across Islamabad. Great news for fast food lovers, since the winter of 2023, the menu of Soft Swirl now also includes fast food such as loaded fries topped with crispy chicken. I had to try all of this.
First off, there’s not much to say about the indoor ambiance or seating. This is my one small problem with Soft Swirl despite having a lot of customers, they do not have enough indoor seating arrangements other than a few outdoor chairs. Most of you should either order your meal to be delivered to your home or eat it in your car. Even the line where you have to stand to order your food is a congested place. In the summer you would be suffocated.
My first dish was the loaded fries topped with crispy chicken. This meal consists of fries, crispy chicken, some special sauces, and cheese. It was very delicious. The fries were well cooked and crispy, the crispy chicken tasted delicious, and the sauces were well combined with everything together. It cost around Rs. 356, my only complaint is that they were in less quantity. Otherwise, it was a solid 8 out of 10 for me.
At first, I was doubtful, but seeing how well they crafted this dish, I now encourage Soft Swirl to go beyond just ice cream and desserts.
My second order was the regular-sized Oreo Ice Cream With Vanilla flavor. It cost me just Rs. 175. The ice cream was very delicious, the Oreo crumbs acted as a delicious topping. This is what I love about Soft Swirl, the ice creams are so cheap but the flavor is very original. It has become the best alternative for watered-down ice creams that you eat from grocery stores or ice cream stands at the same rate. Overall it was a 9 out of 10 for me.
Overall, Soft Swirl is a big yes for me. If you are craving some sweet dish, Soft Swirl is perfect for you! The only problem I would say is the seating, I had to enjoy my meal in my car, it has a tendency to be messy or difficult. If they improve their indoor dining service, it will be a perfect dessert house. I rate it a total 8 out of 10. It is a definite recommend.
